Founder & Veterinarian
BVSc, ANZCVS (Small Animal Medicine)
With over 30 years of veterinary experience, Dr Sandra is passionate about providing calm, personalised care that supports both pets and their families.
She holds additional qualifications in Small Animal Medicine and has worked throughout Australia and internationally in a wide variety of veterinary roles, including private and corporate practice, animal welfare organisations, charities, and the University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
This breadth of experience has shaped her approach to veterinary care — combining clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to understanding the individual needs of every pet and family she meets. She has a deep appreciation for the importance of involving pet owners in decisions about their pet’s care and recognises that the best outcomes are achieved when medical recommendations are considered within the context of each pet, family and situation.
Coastal Veterinary Services was created to offer a different kind of veterinary experience: one that is calm, personal and centred on your pet’s comfort and wellbeing. Whether caring for a new puppy, supporting a senior pet, or helping families through difficult decisions, Dr Sandra values building trusted relationships and providing continuity of care throughout every stage of a pet’s life.
Life Beyond Veterinary Medicine
When she’s not working, Dr Sandra enjoys spending time with her two sons and her adopted dog, Buddy.
You’ll often find her exploring Point Arkwright and Noosa National Park, camera in hand, capturing the Sunshine Coast’s beautiful coastline, wildlife and natural landscapes. While photography provides a creative outlet, her favourite subjects are still often animals — from local birdlife and marine life to the many creatures that make the Sunshine Coast such a special place to live.
Photography reflects many of the same qualities that inspire her work as a veterinarian: patience, observation, appreciation for nature and a genuine love of animals.
