Compassionate in-home euthanasia services across the Sunshine Coast with Dr Sandra. We provide gentle, unhurried end-of-life care for dogs and cats in the comfort of their own home, allowing families a peaceful and private farewell during a difficult time.
In-home euthanasia allows your pet to remain in a safe and familiar environment, reducing stress from travel or clinical settings. They can rest in their favourite place, stay close to family, and pass away peacefully in comfort at home. Many families find this provides a more private, gentle, and meaningful farewell.
Every visit is unhurried and focused entirely on your pet’s comfort.
Dr Sandra will begin with a calm conversation and answer any questions you may have. A sedative is then given to ensure your pet is fully relaxed and comfortable. Once they are peacefully asleep, the final injection is administered, allowing them to pass gently and without distress.
You are welcome to stay close throughout, and family members and other pets are also welcome to be present.
This is one of the hardest decisions any pet owner faces. Common signs include ongoing pain or discomfort that cannot be managed, loss of appetite or interest in daily life, difficulty standing or walking, increased anxiety, confusion or restlessness, and more bad days than good days. If you are unsure, we can help you talk through your pet’s quality of life and discuss options with honesty and compassion.
We also provide guidance and support for pets with chronic illness, cancer, advanced arthritis, heart or kidney disease, and age-related decline. Our aim is always provide comfort, dignity, and reducing suffering wherever possible.
Dr Sandra offers in-home euthanasia, primarily in Coolum Beach and nearby suburbs. She can also travel to most areas of the Sunshine Coast when available.
Private euthanasia appointments are also available at our consult rooms in Coolum Beach.
